Working More Effectively with Groups

Working with Groups provides youth practitioners with the skills and confidence to effectively manage and develop group learning with young people; through building meaningful relationships, learning how to manage group dynamics and facilitate group learning.

During the course you will explore:

• The purposes and benefits of group work
• How to develop a framework to set-up and run groups that are safe, engaging and encourage participation
• Group dynamics and how to overcome potential barriers created by difficult behaviours
• Your facilitator presence, style and skills
• Your understanding of the essential ingredients to successful co-facilitation

Duration: One-day 9.30am - 4.30pm
